World of Warcraft…Level 70 Priest BAY-BEEE!!!
June 23, 2008 3:14 am Gaming, Playstation 3, World of WarcraftWoW! Yes, WoW, I finally hit level 70 in World of Warcraft with my Blood Elf priest. YAY me! A big thanks goes out to my Monday Night Group (MNG) who just happened to be on last night and decided to help me get the last few bubbles to hit level 70.
I know everyone in WoW has a level 70…and probably several of them. Its a pretty big deal for me to have a level 70 character in WoW. I’ve played several MMOs everything from Ultima Online, EQ1, EQ2, EvE, SWG, and a few others but I was never really able to get to max level in any of those games for a multitude of reasons.
I came quite close in Dark Age of Camelot with two characters. The level cap in DAoC when I played was level 50, and I had a level 47 Bard and a level 48 Thane. The main reasons for not getting to max in MMOs for me has always been lack of a dedicated group, guild politics and real life happenings.
In DAoC I did have a dedicated group…though it dwindled to a consistant three man group, which for a game like DAoC really just didn’t cut it, for the higher level content. EQ1, well, it was EQ1 and a lesson in pain and suffering as I played, “back in the day” circa 1999/2001. The other games, I was pretty much a solo character. While most of the guilds I had joined were full of really nice people and I made a lot of friends there, I typically ran into a lot of “guild politics”. Thankfully, I was never involved in any of the intrigues, nor did I ever want to be the center of attention in a guild. I just wanted a good group and to have fun.
I was able to have a LOT of fun in DAoC with my dedicated three man team and we always had a blast. However, with my WoW group, we had a well balanced four man team, and once we hit level 60+ my cousin joined us. He fit the groups personality and has been really awesome! We then had a great five man team with some really incredible synergy. We just kind of knew what to do, when to do it and how we should do it. Ok, ok, I asked a LOT about what and where…but hey, I’m just a “healbot”! LOL! I don’t care that I am a “healbot” I have fun playing this role. Because of these guys and the team work we have we are a really great team.
It was also great that we never played our MNG toons other than Monday night. Unless of course we were trying to complete some class specific quest or work on a trade skill.
Anyway, I am grateful to FINALLY have a highend character in one of these damn games for a change and I love it!
I am looking forward to starting our 5v5 arena team and kicking in the teeth of some Alliance scum this Monday. Until then, I think I will spend some quality time with my Playstation 3 and Resistance: Fall of Man. I really want to complete this game. Its a LOT of fun. Besides, I need to get to the end so I will be ready for Resistance: Fall of Man 2!
