Wishful Thinking
June 4, 2008 House No CommentsWell, I’m sitting outside with a cigar, and a nice cold sugar free drink tonight. The weather is awesome, not too cold and not too hot, a nice gentle breeze is blowing through the area and its raining gently. I had planned on working on the website for my lovely bride’s friend’s business, but I can really seem to get into it right now. So here I am blogging.
As I sit here, I find myself getting ever so excited about the day I can sit on the big deck of our new house that we hope to build soon. I’ve been thinking about how nice it would be to sit on that deck with a cigar and some coffee/Jack Daniels/Jim Beam listening to some BB King, John Lee Hooker or some Buddy Guy. At this point in the night, I think it would call for Buddy Guy’s “Feels Like Rain”. I really love that song. Nice, slow, and moody. Bonnie Rait on backup vocals really sets it off.
Back to the house… Yeah, I know, I am jumping around a bit. BAH, I’m not a blogging pro like my wife. We modified the plan some, deeper garage, more closet space here, etc. Nothing too major though.
I am just eager to get the house underway. It will be a while before we break ground, but I am still wishing it was sooner rather than later.
Oh well, back to trying to get some code done.
